Beekeeping is a great hobby for people with an
interest in Nature with the added bonus of a few jars
of honey for your family and friends.
As beekeepers, all we do is provide a suitable
home ( hive ) for bees to build a colony. Bees collect
nectar to make winter stores of honey in the right
conditions, they collect more thanthey need to survive
The winter and as beekeepers, we collect the surplus.
Beekeeping is not a leave-alone hobby, you need
to do regular inspections of the colony for
swarm control and health of brood
Worthing beekeepers are a friendly crowd of all
ages who share, or used to share, a common
interest in beekeeping We have our own association
“out-apiary” to introduce new beekeepers to bees,
practical training demonstrations and regular summer
out-apiary meetings. Our annual honey show is at
Findon sheep fair, and we have a winter program of
lectures and social events.
